Four Day Paris Itinerary for New Travelers

Day 1: Arrive in Paris

After a long flight, we will meet you, guide you and start you off with a friendly face. Your personal concierge will be outside baggage claim with croissants and take you to your hotel via private car or via train/taxi through Gare du Nord. Have sights explained along the way or learn the metro system if going by train. Once at your destination, your Concierge will also give you information about the neighborhood.

 

Afternoon: Montmartre: Art, Culture, Cobblestone Streets

Your concierge will take you to the top of Montmartre for its breathtaking views of Paris. On this private guided tour, you’ll visit the beautiful Sacré-Coeur Basilica and see the artists who still gare ther to sell their wares in the Place du Tertre. Stroll through cobblestone streets where Van Gogh, Toulouse Lautrec, Renoir and Picasso painted their famous works. Don’t miss La Maison Rose, the Cabaret Lapin Agile and the only working vineyard in Paris. [2-hour private tour, includes hotel pickup.]

Your concierge will drop you off at dinner after your tour.

 

Evening: Paris Night Lights – an Evening Drive through Historic Paris 

Your concierge will pick you up from dinner for this tour. Paris is called the city of lights, and what better way to see it than at night. Your personal guide will take you on a dazzling ride through the city to see all the iconic sights and views from the best vantage points. At Trocadero, get the most striking view of the sparkling Eiffel Tower; we’ll stop here for a photo opWe’ll pass by the monumental Pantheon in the Latin Quarter, then on to the Ile de la Cité to see Notre Dame Cathedral and the Pont-Neuf. You’ll drive down the Champs-Elysees to view majestic Arc de Triomphe, along the way to the highest point in Paris, Sacré-Coeur in Montmartre. We’ll see the beautiful Opera Garnier and the elegant Place Vendôme while passing by the Tuileries Garden and the Place de la Concorde. The historical Invalides and the stunning Pont Alexandre III are also on our route, along with the Grand Palais. Your final destination will be your hotel, or wherever you prefer.

Day 2: The Louvre and Angelina’s Hot Chocolate
Morning:Reservation at Angelina 

We recommend beginning your day at the Belle Époque teahouse Angelina, for their world famous hot chocolate and delicious French pastries! Your concierge will meet you outside Angelina at 10am to begin your tour.

 

Musée du Louvre – Privately Guided Tour 

Your Concierge will pick you up for the short walk through the Tuileries Garden to the Louvre for this private tour where you will skip the line to see the highlights, including the medieval passageway, the Great Sphinx of Tanis, Venus de Milo, the Renaissance ballroom, Winged Victory and the Apollo Gallery; masterpieces of the Italian Renaissance by Botticelli, Fra Angelico, Raphael, da Vinci and Michelangelo; key works by 19th century French masters Delacroix, Gericault and Ingres. Afternoon: No Planned Activities

 

Evening: Wine Tasting

Make your own way to meet your guide for this tour. Be an urban explorer and indulge in the true taste of Paris on this 2-hour wine and walking tour. Lead by a French wine scholar, our very own bubbly Tanisha, travel through the streets of a trendy arrindissement and stop at haunts that are off the beaten path, but filled with Parisian character. Tanisha will guide you through wines you might think of as ‘pas cher,’ explain the French wine regions, different types of grapes, and the award labels on wine bottles mean. Good wine is available everywhere in France—we’ll help you discover your favorites!

 

Day 3: Marais and The Eiffel Tower
Morning: History of Le Marais

Your concierge will meet you in the lobby of your hotel for this tour. Our concierge will meet you at your hotel and travel with you via metro to guide you through one of the oldest and hippest sections of Paris. You’ll learn the history of the Marais from the 6th Century to present day. Stops will include the medieval wall of Philippe Auguste, the lovely Place des Vosges and the Rue des Rosiers, the lively Jewish quarter. The final stop will be at the Picasso Museum where you can wander through at your leisure, on your own. [3-hour private tour, includes hotel pickup.]

 

Afternoon: Eiffel Tower [Small Group Tour]

Make your own way to the Eiffel Tower for this tour. Enjoy skip-the-line access into the Eiffel Tower, as well as lift tickets that will take you up to the summit. Once inside you’ll enjoy an entertaining guided tour and learn the fascinating history of this iconic monument. You’ll also learn about many other famous Parisian landmarks seen from the Eiffel Tower, such as the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, and Notre Dame Cathedral. After the guided tour is over you’ll be free to use your ticket to access the second lift, which goes directly to the summit: the highest observation deck in Europe that is open to the public. There you can enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views over Paris, and, if you like, purchase a flute of Champagne to toast your adventure!

Day 4: Cooking Class & Dinner Cruise
Morning: Market & Private Cooking Class

Make your own way to this cooking class. Learn to make a true French home cooked meal in a Parisian chief’s home kitchen! Your own private chef will walk you through the steps of making an appetizer (such as salmon tartare or a creamy vegetable soup) and a classic entrée (like boeuf bourguignon)—from fresh, local ingredients picked up at the market across the street! After cooking, sit down to enjoy your meal together, complete with a cheese course and dessert in their home, at their table.

 

Evening: Le Calife VIP Dinner Cruise

Make your own way to Le Calife for dinner. Dine on Le Calife, a 5-star cruising restaurant, through the heart of historical Paris. In a warm and unique setting, view some of the most famous monuments of Paris from the Seine: Notre Dame, The Louvre, Musée d’Orsay, Grand Palais, Les Invalides, and the Eiffel Tower. At sunset, the cruise (which lasts 2 hours) starts at the sound of the “Kromhout”, the original twin engine from 1939. The welcoming crew offers a wide range of cocktails to start the party. Then, enjoy either a traditional French menu worthy of the gastronomic reputation of the capital or menus inspired by India, South Africa, Greece, and the Middle East.

 

Day 5: Depart Paris Return to Airport for flight home
